Established on 29th January 2003, KPPGCA was born of a felt need for a professional body to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz MBA, PGDM and MCA. KPPGCA has in its fold, approved by AICTE, 189 member institutions which are affiliated to respective universities in Karnataka.

During the past 14 years, KPPGCA has been orchestrating the process of admission to MBA and MCA courses to fill the management quota of seats in the member institutions by holding the "Karnataka Management Admission Test (KMAT)" conducted online remote proctored. Besides facilitating admission to MBA and MCA courses, KPPGCA is actively spearheading a variety of academic curricular and co-curricular programmes.

About KPPGCA and KMAT

The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) was founded in 2003 with the primary objective of actively promoting professional education. Its mission is to simplify and streamline the admission process for postgraduate professional programs such as MBA, PGDM, and MCA.

The inception of KMAT arose from the necessity for a consolidated entrance test for admission to professional courses like MBA, PGDM, and MCA within the state of Karnataka. KMAT serves as the examination used for admitting students into AICTE-approved, university-affiliated self-financing colleges in Karnataka. This examination is officialy authorized from the Government of Karnataka.
